2006 -2009 – Sealy Center for Vaccine Development – Administrative Associate - Provide administrative assistance to the five faculty, two Assistant Directors, three staff members and fifteen students housed within the Sealy Center for Vaccine Development assigned space.
2003 – 2006 – Department of Pediatrics – Sr. Administrative Secretary - Provided advanced administrative assistance to the Administrator and three Medical Directors in the Department of Pediatrics. Provided backup assistance to the Chairman, Vice-Chair, and HR Manager.
1997 – 2003 – Preventive Medicine & Community Health (PMCH) – Epidemiology & Biostatistics & Sociomedical Sciences – Sr. Administrative Secretary Provided administrative assistance to two Directors, ten faculty, eight students, three project coordinators, and supervised staff of three. Served as Recording Secretary for the PMCH Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee.
1993 – 1997 – Purchasing/Logistics – Help Desk Specialist – Designed and operated help desk to transition internal institutional users to new procurement software, also designed and coordinated the production of a procurement newsletter “BuyLines”.
1991 – 1993 – Nurse Recruitment – Administrative Secretary – Provided administrative assistance to Director and three Recruiters. Responsible for all travel arrangements and reimbursements occurred in the recruitment of nurses. Collaborated closely with Human Resources to ensure accurate and complete compliance of recruitment. Supervised staff of two.
1989 – 1991 – Environmental Health & Safety – Clerk Typist III – Provided administrative assistance to the Chemical & Biological Manager and staff and to the Fire & Safety Director and staff. Responsible for coordinating the pick up of hazardous waste and maintained database for the MSDS sheets of chemicals on campus. Served as Recording Secretary to the Chemical Safety Committee.
1987 – 1989 – Staff Development – Clerk Typist II – Provided administrative assistance to the Director of Staff Development. Responsible for updating Nursing Service Policies and Procedure Manuals and assisting with new Nurse Orientation.
